CHAUVET® LEDs Update Brannigans

ROMFORD, U.K. – JPS Sound and Light installs CHAUVET® LED-fitted fixtures in Brannigans. John Southee of JPS Sound and Light, based in St. Ives, specified and installed eight Q-Spot™ 260 LED moving heads, eight LEDrain™ 64 wash lights, COLORdash™ Accent compact wash lights and COLORstrip™ linear wash lights.

“The concern was how dated the place looked,” said Southee. “It’s a huge place that was filled with brown hues and old PAR cans. We had to rip out everything, down to its base, and start again.”

One important update was to introduce an all-LED rig to the dance floor. Above the dance floor are four Q-Spot™ 260 LED moving heads on each of the longer sides of the rectangular truss. In each corner are four LEDrain™ 64 wash lights. A stage off the dance floor is lit by the other four LEDrain™ 64, mounted on the backside of the four Q-Spot™ 260 LED. COLORdash™ Accent wash lights serve as truss warmers. Elsewhere, 12 COLORstrip™ linear wash lights illuminate VIP suites.

“It was a rolling job,” said Southee. “The place didn’t shut down while it was being refurbished. We had two days to do the lights. The idea was to have LEDs for the dance floor and the stage with as many movers as the budget would allow. The old PAR cans cost a fortune to run so the idea was to lower the power consumption.”
