CHAUVET’s presentation at LDI 2005 in Orlando is this year’s must-see. The manufacturer will release over 30 new products and exclusive technologies serving a variety of needs but with a common thread: unmistakable value.

“This LDI show will categorically assert CHAUVET’s knack at bringing the latest in technology at affordable prices,” CEO Albert Chauvet said. Case in point: the newly launched Q-series™ of DMX luminaries, a tour de force in balancing value, innovation and performance, he said. The series’ crisp, clean gobos, and precision optics can take shows to a higher level without having users upgrade their budgets as well.

“ It is the unique combination of quality and value that make the Q-series™ irresistible,” said national Sales Manager Phil Lentini. Powered by quality lamps ranging in wattage from 150 to 575, all nine feature mechanical dimmer/shutter/strobe channels, bi-directional color scroll, pan/tilt speed control, reset via DMX, micro-stepping motors, built in programs, thermal switch and a very efficient internal ventilation to stand the rigors of party, club and touring performances.

Also new at LDI: an expanded COLORdash™ series premiering LED cans, panels, tubes and controllers; Just released Scorpion™ 10mW lasers with the exclusive Fat Beam™ technology allowing the legal operation of high power lasers without a variance for the first time ever in the USA; revamped and re-tooled Intimidator™ and Insignia™ scanners, Intimidator™1.0, Intimidator™ 2.0 and Insignia™ 2.0; And Legends 3000X, 5000X, 6000X featuring the famed traits of Legend™ 3000, 5000 and 6000 but with upgraded software.

CHAUVET IN ACTION

POINTER SISTERS HOLIDAY COMEBACK

Hollywood, CA- That’s a Wrap! Grammy award winning divas The Pointer Sisters just completed a comeback holiday music video, Christmas in New York, which features lighting and special effects created by Producer Jeremy Vargus of Los Angeles-based RPI Entertainment. The video depicts the magical journey of three girls as they came across a snow globe that transports them into a winter wonderland. Vargus used CHAUVET snow and fog effects throughout the production, set to air on a Jumbotron screen in New York’s Time Square through New Year's, among other prominent venues. RPI Entertainment is well known for its SnowFX show in which it uses several CHAUVET machines to achieve a very realistic snowfall. Last year, for example, Vargus staged a dramatic entrance using this technique for actor Will Ferrell at the premiere of the blockbuster movie Elf. RPI offers a myriad of other innovative entertainment solutions with live Las Vegas-style productions, world-class entertainers, special effects, pyrotechnics and lasers, custom illusion fabrication and sales and rental of equipment. www.rpientertainment.com for more information.
