Holiday Greetings
Dear Friends:
As we gather with associates, friends and family to celebrate the year to come and to reflect on the year that’s nearly passed, CHAUVET® wants to pass along our best wishes.
CHAUVET® experienced a banner year in 2008, for which we are thankful. We had a record year for sales, have introduced a number of new products, signed on new dealers and distributors and we recently broke ground for a new world headquarters and warehouse in Sunrise, Florida.
And even during these economically challenging times, we remain encouraged by the increasing demand for our products. As of this writing, our national sales volume is expected to increase by 25 percent over last year. International sales will crest at 35 percent over last year. In part, this growth is due to our increased market penetration made possible by adding dealers and manufacturer’s representatives.
Another factor is our increased product line. Those who attended the 2008 LDI saw prototypes for our new products, which we will roll out late in the first quarter of 2009. These new products include the Legend™ 1200E spot, the Q-Spot™ 250 LED, the Q-Phase™, the Legend™ 6500 and the Legend™ 4500.
We developed these products after listening to our customers, which is part of our pledge of Value, Innovation and Performance.
We have also increased staff to serve you. We created a number of positions including a product marketing manager, a production product manager, and we are in the process of hiring additional business managers for the International Division and the soon-to-be launched Architectural Division. |
Our expanding team of CHAUVET® professionals will move to new headquarters sometime in the third quarter of 2009. We have incorporated a number of “green building” features into our new home. And we will have a state-of-the-art warehouse that will decrease the turnaround time between incoming orders and shipment. |
As you celebrate this holiday season, please know that the CHAUVET® Team is grateful for your continued support and partnership. Please accept our best wishes for the holiday season and a prosperous New Year. |
Sincerely,
Albert Chauvet, CEO

European Castle Bathed in Pink Lighting Benefits Local Cancer Charity
Isle of Man, United Kingdom- CHAUVET® LED-fitted COLORado™ lights washed the historic Falcon Cliff castle in a stunning pink color, as a symbol of breast cancer awareness, during a fund-raising event for the Breast Cancer Care charity on the Isle of Man, in the middle of the Irish Sea.
The October affair, dubbed “in the Pink Day”, was the finale to a yearlong series of events that raised $55,500. During the event, the Isle of Man was renamed “Isle of Woman”.
The CHAUVET® lights were selected because of their “vivid colors and spectacular brightness,” said Justin McMullin, owner of Event Lighting Services (ELS), the island’s leading stage and event lighting rental company that donated the lighting. “Because of this we only had to use six fixtures in all to light up such a large building,” McMullin said.
ELS used four CHAUVET® COLORado™ 1 wash lights and two COLORado™ 3 bank systems, both of which are ideal for outdoor use with an ingress protection (IP) rating of 66. The models offer full RGB color mixing, which afforded occasional changes in hues of the castle’s façade throughout the event. |
Falcon Cliff, more than a century-and-a-half old, originally served as a residence for a banker. It later became a hotel and during the late 1880s, a large dance hall was added. The hotel, closed in the 1990s, was carefully restored as an impressive office complex and continues to be a prominent architectural landmark overlooking the sea and the promenade in the capital city of Douglas. |

New Products at LDI
Las Vegas, Nev.-The CHAUVET® Lighting staff designed a 3,500-square-foot booth for the 2008 Lighting Dimension International (LDI) trade show that highlighted the versatility and power of its product line. The booth’s floor plan consisted of an open area and two contained rooms.
One room, set up as a lounge scene, offered a sneak preview of a soon-to-be launched Architectural Division; the other one demonstrated the exclusive Q-Phase™ and Q-Spot™ 250 LED moving yokes.
Between the two rooms a back-lit wall of water and two CHAUVET® Arena Hazers™ created a soothing affect.
The open area, furnished in chic, all-white contemporary furniture, featured the 2009 new production line with hands-on demonstrations for visitors. Products included the Legend™ 1200E, the company’s first 1200-watt moving yoke spot and its most ambitious discharge moving head to date; Legend™ 6500 and 4500 high power LED moving wash lights; the COLORado™ 2 LED static wash; the COLORdash™ Par and Batten as well as another first for the company, the SkyScan™ 4000 Spot. |
