Medley Music Lights Platinum Playground with CHAUVET 11/5/2007Mays Landing, NJ- Just off the Black Horse Turnpike is the latest choice in upscale entertainment, Platinum Playground, featuring a lighting scheme that is as inviting to guests as it is flattering to the entertainers. The lighting scheme was designed and installed by Kyle Rosenbloom of Medley Music Corp. who utilized CHAUVET fixtures exclusively because he “knew [he] would be able to exactly replicate the picture that the owner was able to verbally paint for [him].” Incorporating thirty CHAUVET fixtures (mostly LED luminaires) allowed Rosenbloom to fulfill the owner’s wish for a “classy” establishment. Highlighting the main stage are 4 CHAUVET COLORado™ 3 units for dimmable color washing and 6 Q-Wash™ LED units that create a subtle movement effect that can blend precisely to compliment the colors being produced by the COLORado™ 3 units. Also, 12 LEDrain™ 56 units bathe the dance areas of the club in a wash of color, 1 LEDsplash™ 196 used to provide lighting for the DJ booth while highlighting interesting architectural aspects of the room, and 1 COLORbank™ LED lights a staging area that is broadcast throughout the venue via closed circuit video. As no nightspot is complete without a touch of UV lighting, Rosenbloom installed 2 CHAUVET Black Shadow™ fixtures, which “cover the entire 2000-square-foot club with no noticeable dropouts.” Lastly, 2 F-1700 Hurricane™ fog machines provide atmospheric ambiance from below the stage, through ductwork that fires the fog toward the center of the stage from the four corners. Rosenbloom states, “CHAUVET’s expansive line of quality fixtures gave me, the designer, tons of flexibility in the designing process.” That flexibility has allowed him to return to the club to dim some of the fixtures with just 15 minutes of editing the existing programs on the CHAUVET DMX-55 controllers, with the end result being, “exactly what the client asked for.” Rosenbloom adds that the club now features a “great light show, easily programmed and controlled, that also looks phenomenal on video”, and that the reaction has been “incredible.” Key Lighting Equipment included:
