Believe It! CHAUVET on Display at Ripley’s 3/28/2008Within the “black hole” display at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium! in New York, NY are a number of CHAUVET® LED Shadow™ units which provide ambient and effect lighting. Ripley’s chose the LED Shadow™ units for their space-saving design, energy efficiency, and extended longevity as compared to incandescent fixtures. In addition to being used as part of the black hole display, the lights are used to light a replica of the Venus de Milo that has been tattooed in UV reactive ink, the tattoos becoming visible when the light is activated. The LED Shadow™, a 3-channel DMX-512 UV blacklight, features adjustable flash rate, dimmer, and static modes, in addition to built-in automated and sound-activated programs.
