Defend Our Industry – #SaveStageLighting

Dear Colleagues,

A new regulation under consideration in the EU, Eco-Design Working Plan 2016-2019, poses a serious threat to our entire industry and will, if enacted, threaten the very existence of many theatres in Europe by rendering their existing lighting rigs obsolete.

The energy standards that would be imposed on our industry by this proposed regulation are not only highly unrealistic, they are, for all intents and purposes, unattainable at a price that any theatre could afford.

We stand united with the Association of Lighting Designers (ALD), Production Services Association (PSA), and PLASA to oppose this regulation and urge you to sign the ALD’s petition to the EU Energy Directorate asking that this proposed regulation be dropped. You can support our efforts and sign the petition by clicking the link below in this message.

Keep stage lighting exempt from proposed legislation changes.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
